Adrian Sima’s first presence at SARM’s Cosmopoetry Festival
was in 1998.
He exploded in 1999 as the best young astropoet and,
very touched by the total solar eclipse of that year
(which he also photographed),
composed A Shot Remembrance.





The light came
to me
like the wounded leg
of a soldier
staining the horizon
with his blood.

The light laid
on me
like the mantle
of a soldier
killed by
a twilight war.

The light hid
in me
like the heart
of a soldier
loving peace.

The light passed
through me
like the ghost
of a soldier…

…And now,
on the walls of the fortress,
the nights seem to be
dusty pages
from the diary
of the shot eclipse

AMINTIRE IMPUSCATA

Lumina venea
spre mine
precum piciorul ranit
al unui soldat
patand orizontul
cu sangele lui.

Lumina se intindea
pe mine
precum mantia
unui soldat
ucis de
un razboi crepuscular.

Lumina se ascundea
in mine
precum inima
unui soldat
care iubea pacea.

Lumina trecea
prin mine
precum fantoma
unui soldat…

…Iar acum,
pe zidurile cetatii,
noptile par
pagini prafuite
din jurnalul
eclipsei impuscate.
