TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE 2010
OVER THE PACIFIC OCEAN
-a haiku vision-
After the total solar eclipse in 2010 July 11th,
visible from the south of the Pacific Ocean,
I received images about the phenomenon
from two dear friends of SARM:
-Catalin Beldea (Romania, a witness of the eclipse
in the Hao atol, Frech Polinesia,
with the help of Samsung Mobile Romania;
Catalin is famous for another total solar eclipse image,
made in 2008 in Novosibirsk, Siberia, Russia,
and included by NASA in the Astronomy Pictures of the Day series);
-and Yasuhiro Tonomura (Japan, the country of the haiku;
Tono is a member of the Oriental Astronomical Society
and a zonal leader of the Nippon Meteor Society,
and was a witness of the eclipse in the Easter Island).
