In December 2020
Florin Alexandru Stancu, Valentin Grigore and Andrei Dorian Gheorghe
decided to make this project,
conceived three… astropoetic photos
and wrote together the following haiku:
After the pandemic year
let’s make together

the three mountain expeditions of SARM

(part of the Cosmos of Plato, Aristotle and Claudius Ptolemy)
was seen in the sky together with the planet Uranus
(discovered by William Herschel in 1781)
by Valentin Grigore during an expedition to the Priseaca Lake near Targoviste.

Vernal equinox…
The midpoint between
the winter solstice and the summer solstice.
Photo with my sundial, from the balcony,
at 13:00 (1 pm, Romanian Legal Time).
It is observed that the tip of the shadow
is slightly delayed (7 minutes),
an effect of the time equation for this date.

Two courageous girls
went to liberate the Moon
from the thin fog.
But they probably arrived in
a cluster of white dwarfs
just because, after all,
I noticed a new snowfall.

ANOTHER OLYMPIAD

The new edition of the Olympic Games (Tokyo, Japan)
was moved from 2020 to 2021 because of the pandemic.
On March 25, 2021,
on a cold and cloudy weather
I had a revelation:
as time as the main northern constellations are named
after the tales of Mount Olympus,
the Global Astronomy Month could have a secondary name :
the Astronomical Olympic Games!

IN THE PANTELIMON NEIGHBORHOOD

A friend of mine told me that he wants to use a corner
on the bank of a lake in the Pamtelimon neighborhood
(which includes blocks of flats built by the former totalitarian regime,
plus a few new buildings)
for testing his new telescope.
On March 25, 2021
I was to “check” that zone …
Finally I had to notice that
I myself was being checked by the Sun
from above a new church…
