ASTROPOEMS FOR THE
HUBBLE
-by Dan Mitrut and Andrei Dorian Gheorghe-
Photographs and design by Gabriel Ivanescu
In the beginning of 2004
there was an admirable international campaign,
“Save the Hubble”,
in which thousands of sky lovers
expressed on various ways their solidarity
for the space telescope.
One of those ways was a web site
coordinated by Fernando Ribeiro
and including a series of spiritual “messages of the day”.
Among them, there was a unique
“Astropoetic Message of the Day”
(appeared in 2004, February 2nd),
by two members of SARM,
in fact the poetic bi-dedication bellow:
The Dream of the Hubble Telescope
-by Dan Mitrut-
Alone on his own orbit,
he refuses
the last space obsessions.
A thought coagulates alive
on monitors,
pushed by a new power:
a solar system
of soul and flower.
The Hubble Telescope of Our Dream
-by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe-
Dear space friend:
nobody asked
the deep sky objects
how much they like
to be remarked by you.
So,
our heavenly correspondent
unveiling for us
the celestial carnival:
BE ETERNAL!
