After in 2020 Venus visited the Pleiades,
in 2021 Mars visited the same cluster
and said:
“Hello, Seven Sisters!”
Two jewels in the night sky:
the first was yellowish-reddish,
the second was blue.

being anchored in the crisis of my planet,
so that Capella remained the highest star,
right above my head
and untouched by the Earth’s problems.

my neighborhood,
a former industrial zone
and the Hagiu Church
(founded in the 17th century and remade later),
where a kind priest prayed
for good heavenly signs,
such as a crowned moon.

The Sun embraced by tree branches,
a tree embraced by the fog,
the Moon embraced by a variable atmospheric crown,
another tree embraced by the fog and sunrays,
and, to complete the overall harmony,
Procyon and Betelgeuse
embracing a pine tree.

Once I crossed the Dambovita River
and the scenery made me think about
how simplistic most modern towers are.
I walked among the remnants of an old neighborhood, Dudesti,
transformed by the former communist regime
into a zone with simplistic block of flats.
Finally, near a church from the 18th century,
I found a stone flower:
a real, ancestral tower.

Lucidity is better than anger.
On March 2, 2021,
after I saw the sunset from my balcony,
I came down behind my block
to test the level of light pollution.
First I was angry
and focused on Mars.
Then I became calm
and caught
Mars with some Pleiades
and Aldebaran with some Hyades.

I saw the male bird called Sun
landing in the city,
where I lost him.
I saw him again the next morning,
when he ascended into heaven
spreading his wings.
It was too late

JUMPING FROM AN OBSERVATORY TO ANOTHER

On March 5, 2021,
I saw the sunset near the Children’s Observatory,
then I moved to the Municipal Observatory.
To my surprise, despite the pandemic,
on its terrace
I noticed a lot of “masked” people waiting in line
to see the stars through the telescope.
To my joy, when I came down,
I noticed the star Capella
protecting its cupola
like an umbrella.
