ASTRO-PHOTO IN BONN

MOTTO:
Now I don’t have time to fly.
I have to catch the deep sky!
-Andrei Dorian Gheorghe-

After I graduated the Faculty of Physics at Bucharest University,
in August 2010
I began my post-universitary studies in the town of Bonn (Germany)
and immediately observed a dome
on the building of the Argelander Institute for Astronomy.

I asked about it and thus I found out about
the existence of a 50 cm Cassegrain telescope,
utilized for advanced laboratory courses,
public outreach and other activities.

I could use it only with a special permit,
after I demonstrated I shall not destroy the instrument,
and in October 2010 I tried some astrophotography
(being very enthusiastic,
I prefered not to expose 4-5 hours for only one object,
but to photograph more objects):

Unfortunately the weather is not too good here,
but I shall pay attention to clear nights.
I promise!
